Parallel Lives

“For Parallel Lives I chose to describe myself in the many roles that I play in the numerous activities that are part of my life: my art, my three jobs, my travels, my social masks and intimate facets. I also observed the landscape around me, noticing details that often go unseen due to my frantic timetable: the decorations on an office door, a particular arrangement of books around my room. I work three days a week in a gallery which is a former church dating to the XIX Century. Profane meets sacred, Art rejoices with duty. Somehow I feel safe and protected. The process has slowly taken different shapes, and I felt like I am revealing more of myself as I seek for new aspects of my day. I look for patterns, colours, atmosphere. I find little habits, rituals, familiarity and estrangement.”
